TIMELESS. A piece of Braun history.
A signature design by iconic industrial designer Dieter Rams, the Wandanlage was regarded as the best audio device of its time in the 1960s. Recognised as the original hi-fi wall system, it combines a control unit, tape recorder and turntable with flat loudspeakers in an award-winning design. A recent collaboration with esteemed fashion designer Virgil Abloh turned the wall unit into a piece of functional art.
The original Wandanlage is rarely offered as a complete, working system, making it one of the most sought-after objects for collectors. Highsnobiety is now auctioning off one such landmark model. The highest bidder for the on-hand Wandanlage will not only secure a piece of Braun history, but also contribute to the efforts at Deutsches Design Museum in Frankfurt, Germany, as the proceeds will go to the non-profit organisation to raise awareness of and exposure to design through programmes and activities targeting the areas of art and culture as well as science and research.
